"Glee" alum Matthew Morrison has been tapped to portray a doctor in episode 23 of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13. Meanwhile, Owen (Kevin McKidd) might be receiving bad news about his sister.

Morrison will be appearing as a new character in episode 23 of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, titled "True Colors." This was confirmed by Twitter user JustinChambersOnline with set photos showing Morrison in a scene with Justin Chambers, who plays Alex on the ABC drama.

As for his character, Morrison confirmed through an Instagram story that he is playing a Dr. Stadler on set, according to ET Online.

There are speculations that Morrison will be playing Jo's (Camilla Luddington) abusive husband.

TVLine reports that executive producer Shonda Rhimes was looking for an "appealing, charismatic, and charming" yet manipulative and scary doctor to enter the show before season 13 ends.

Fan theories tied Morrison's casting to Rhimes' character description and anticipate that the actor is indeed Jo's husband.

However, it is also possible that Dr. Stadler is a new character that Alex only crosses paths with, since the episode 23 synopsis reveals the pediatric surgeon going on a medical conference.

Meanwhile, Owen might be receiving news about his sister Megan (Bridget Regan), and it might not be good.

In the episode 23 promo, a man visits Owen at his home, and the next thing shown is him crying.

It is possible that the man came to inform Owen about his sister's whereabouts. However, based on Owen's reaction, her sister may not be in a good situation. This may be bad news, but the bright side of it is Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) will come to Owen's side and give him the support he needs from his wife.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 airs every Thursday night at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
