'Grand Theft Auto 6' news: Ryan Gosling or Eva Mendes to voice GTA 6 protagonist

Grand Theft Auto V Rockstar

"GTA 6" is expected to launch anytime between 2018 and 2020, but most probably not any sooner than that. N4BB reports that GTA 6 will not be launched before 2018 considering that the developer is probably busy preparing Red Dead Redemption 2, which is reportedly gearing up for an official announcement at E3.

It has also been rumoured on various "GTA" forums and websites that the sixth instalment of the game will feature a few great environment upgrades, which bring natural disasters such as earthquakes, storms and other extreme weather simulations to the game play.

In addition, the Rockstar team plans to incorporate the whole U.S. map into the next "GTA" edition, making it the biggest map created so far if this happens.

For the protagonist of the game, it was initially believed that Ryan Gosling would lend his voice to the game. However, in an interview with Rockstar's Dan Houser for The Guardian, it was implied that "GTA" fans could be seeing a female protagonist this time around, believed to be voiced by Eva Mendes.

Blorge shared that some reports are indicating that the next instalment of "Grand Theft Auto" will sport the biggest map to date, and that there might even be multiple maps that players can move around.

"Grand Theft Auto" is one of the biggest and most successful game franchises out today. Metacritic gives the game a score of 97 out of 100 based on the analyses of 58 critics, making it one of the most highly rated games. The game takes players into the fictional world of Los Santos (based on Los Angeles City) and, more recently in "GTA 5," the outskirts of Blaine County.

It's important to note that the rumours going around are unofficial, Rockstar has refused to give any statements addressing the reports, so fans should take these rumours with a grain of salt.
