There have been speculations that new downloadable content (DLC) will be released for "Fallout 4," but Bethesda confirmed that it is not happening. The game update that caused the speculations for a new DLC might mean something else for "Fallout 4."

The last DLC pack released for "Fallout 4" was "Nuka-World." The "Nuka-World" expansion was set in the Nuka-Cola theme park that has been taken over by three gangs of raiders. The "Nuka-World" DLC allows the players to shift from first-person to third-person view and consists of quests in the open world video game.

Since its release last August, fans of "Fallout 4" have anticipated if the developers – Bethesda Game Studios – will be releasing a new DLC after "Nuka-World."

However, according to the vice president of Bethesda Softworks — Pete Hines — "Nuka World" is the last DLC that they will release for "Fallout 4." Hines has repeatedly answered tweets of fans asking about a new DLC, and he always replied that "Nuka World" is the last DLC for the title.

The reason fans have anticipated a new DLC expansion for "Fallout 4" is because the game's page at the SteamDB website had been updated.

A listing for "SteamDB Unknown App" looked like it was a new DLC in the works, but according to iDigitalTimes, it could be something else entirely.

It is possible that Bethesda is only preparing a "Game of the Year" edition on Steam, which explains the updates in "Fallout 4" that would allow the whole set and expansion packs to be embedded in one set for a single price. The same thing was done for "Fallout 3."

There are also rumors that the update on "Fallout 4" is about the game getting equipped with VR support. According to iTechpost, if Bethesda does get VR support for "Fallout 4," they might be able to launch it before 2017 ends.

So far, there has been no confirmation about what the updates for the "Fallout 4" game page is really about.

"Fallout 4" is available in the market for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
