"Fuller House" executive producers Jeff Franklin and Robert Boyett recently revealed that they might take on LGBT issues on the show. After all, the original series "Full House" featured three father figures, which is certainly an unconventional family set-up.

After making this revelation, people became curious how lead star Candace Cameron Bure, who is also an outspoken Christian host in "The View," might feel about acting in scenes that tackle equal marriage rights.

She strongly defended the controversial Oregon bakery owners last year after they were sued for refusing to accommodate orders for a same-sex wedding. Bure has also come to the defence of football coach Joe Kennedy, after he was reprimanded by the school board for conducting public prayers with his team.

But during an interview with Deadline, Bure said that she does not see any problem with the planned LGBT storylines for "Fuller House."

"I'm always defending religious freedom and that's what I was talking about on 'The View.' I didn't describe my personal feelings about that," she said. "But I'm an actress on a television show and I support all things that we go through as human beings and would love all our characters to explore whatever issues that are current in our culture and our society today and I'm 100 percent on board with that."

The year 2016 will definitely be a big one for Bure. Aside from welcoming back the show "Fuller House," she will also be celebrating 20 years of happy marriage with husband Valeri Bure. At the same time, she will finally be turning 40.

"I've always enjoyed aging," she laughingly told PEOPLE. "But I'm kinda hangin' on to every last day that I'm 39!"

Even though the actress is trying her best to stretch her last year as a 30-something, she is "definitely embracing" her upcoming birthday on April 6. However, Bure admits that "I still don't feel 40!"
