Parents are always concerned about the wellbeing of their child and would always be protective of their little ones. "Soul Surfer" Bethany Hamilton and her husband Adam Dirks are no exception.

The Christian couple recently took up a CPR and first aid lessons to provide better care for their new infant Tobias.

On her Instagram page (@bethanyhamilton), the passionate surfer shared a group picture featuring her carrying Tobias while Adam holds up a first aid box beside her. They are flanked by two ladies from Tiny Hearts First Aid.

"Huge mahalo to @TinyHeartsFirstAid for teaching Adam and I, along with my entire family, infant and child CPR and first aid! I now feel much more secure if something were to go wrong and what steps I would take. I highly recommend any parent or parent-to-be to participate in this course. Thank you Nikki and Rachael!!" she captioned the photo.

Hamilton earlier admitted that motherhood has overwhelmed her with positive emotions. Even though taking care of a baby is a tall order, in her honest opinion, every pain and struggle she has encountered is worth it especially when she sees just how happy and healthy her son is.

"Well, most of us have heard how tough the first two months with a newborn are, especially the first child. Adam and I can attest to that!" she said. "It's been a huge challenge these last two months. Good thing the sweet moments outweigh the tough. I can just sit there and admire how adorable our lil guy is and be filled with love for him."
