Cupertino tech giant Apple will be launching a new set of devices this October, and speculations suggest that aside from the new addition to the MacBook Pro line, the new upgraded iMac might also make its debut at the Apple event.

Despite the lack of official information from Apple as to when the new iMac will be launched, speculations suggest that a new iMac is currently in the works as the invitation sent to the press for the Oct. 27 Apple event hints the unveiling of a new Desktop. The invitation reads "Hello Again," which is an iconic message when it comes to Apple desktops, similar to the "Hello" introduction that former Apple CEO Steve Jobs used when he introduced the Mac on its initial launch.

The current iMacs are using Intel's Core processors. The large 27-inch iMac is currently equipped with the Intel 6th generation Core processor, while the smaller 21.5-inch iMac is equipped with the Intel 5th generation Core processor.

This leaves fans to speculate that despite minor changes for the iMac lineup this 2016, the 21.5-inch iMac might receive an Intel 6th generation Core processor upgrade this October.

As for Apple's upcoming iMac next 2017, rumors suggest that the Apple desktop will be integrated with graphics cards from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), a feature that is said to be confirmed just before 2016 ends.

Furthermore, the return of the Apple Cinema is speculated to come witht the new iMac for 2017, especially since the iMac sports a stunning 5K display perfect for the debut of the forgotten Apple Cinema.

As of now, there is still no official news from the company as to when the new addition to the iMac lineup will be launched, but if recent rumors are true, fans can expect the Apple desktop to be unveiled at the upcoming October event. Otherwise, the new iMac can be expected to be launched sometime in 2017.
