The hit horror film "Annabelle" is getting a sequel, and fans of the Warrens are getting hyped over news that the film will premiere soon on May 2017.

Fans of paranormal movies will once again get to enjoy another hair-raising and nail-biting story that is said to be based on true to life events.

According to a recent report, the sequel to the hit horror movie "Annabelle" will come to theatres on May 17, 2017. Just like the first movie, "Annabelle 2" will be written by Gary Dauberman, produced by Peter Safran, and directed by "Lights Out's" David Sandberg.

"Annabelle" was a horror film that was derived from another movie titled "The Conjuring." "Annabelle" tells the story of a demonic doll kept within the unorthodox collection of artefacts of paranormal experts Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) Warren.

On another note, though "Annabelle" might seem like a unique horror story, other fans of the film clearly see its similarities with other demonic doll movies, especially the ones that featured the infamous foul-mouthed doll in the "Chuckie" franchise.

Just like its hit horror prequel, "Annabelle 2" will still feature the demonic doll kept by the Warrens as it terrorizes innocent people once again in a new setting.

It is said that the movie will take place seven years after the death of the daughter of a doll maker and his wife. The grieving couple will offer to shelter a nun and several orphan girls. The children — who came from an orphanage that was unfortunately shut down —  will apparently become the new victims of the demonic doll that is "Annabelle."

As of now, the complete cast members of "Annabelle 2" has not yet been revealed. However, it has been confirmed that the film will feature Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Miranda Otto, and Anthony LaPaglia.

The sequel to the hit horror movie "Annabelle" — titled "Annabelle 2" — will be arriving in theaters on May 19, 2017.
