There's a shocking twist in the upcoming episode — episode 6 — that will change everything in the story. Meanwhile, it seems that season 6 and the rest of the seasons of "American Horror Story" are all connected.

In the episode 6 promo of "American Horror Story," Cheyenne Jackson is introduced into the story and appears to be planning an ambush interview.

According to the Inquisitr, Jackson might be determined to reveal that Matt (Cuba Gooding Jr.), Shelby (Lily Rabe), and Lee (Angela Bassett) all faked their paranormal experiences in the North Carolina home so that the couple could get back the money that they invested in the farmhouse.

This is a popular theory because it is similar to what was believed to have happened regarding "The Amityville Horror" story in the 1970s. But in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk revealed that the twist in "Roanoke" is far from whatever the fans are theorizing.

"You'll see starting in episode 6, the show has a huge turn and the thing that you think you're watching is not what you're watching," Murphy teased.

"No matter what you think it is, it's not that. Then, episode 6 comes and you're like, 'Wait! What happened?'" Falchuk added. Falchuk also explains that the "Roanoke" story can be separated into three different stories. "It's like episodes 1-5, 6-9, and 10 is its own thing."

Meanwhile, a certain character in season 6 points to speculations that all the seasons of the "American Horror Story" are connected. This character is Edward Philippe Mott (played by Evan Peters), the gay and wealthy man who built the Roanoke house.

It is believed that Edward Mott is the ancestor of the Mott family that was shown in season 4 — titled "Freak Show" — revealing the link in the two seasons. According to Murphy, "the seasons are connected, for sure."

"American Horror Story: Roanoke" airs every Wednesday at 10 p.m. EDT on FX.
