Chapter 7 will reveal Dominic (Cuba Gooding Jr.) as the villain and the evil thing he did on the "Roanoke" docuseries. The sixth season of the series has also shed light on how all the seasons of "American Horror Story" are connected to each other.
Previously in "American Horror Story," the producer of "My Roanoke Nightmare" Sydney (Cheyenne Jackson) has brought the Millers, Lee (Adina Porter), and the actors who portrayed them and the accounted ghosts back to the North Carolina house for another documentary titled "Return to Roanoke: Three Days in Hell."
However, it was later revealed that during the Blood Moon, every single participant died a brutal and mysterious death - except for one person. "Return to Roanoke" never reached its debut on television and the footage from the cameras in the house were simply being pieced together.
There is no clue who the surviving participant may be, but in the promo for chapter 7, Dominic – who played Matt Miller in the "Roanoke" docuseries and who also had a fling with the real Shelby Miller (Lily Rabe) – was seen expressing how ecstatic he was at being the bad guy. Dominic's dark secret also does not guarantee that he will be the surviving participant in the docuseries.
Series co-creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that all the season of the "American Horror Story" are connected, and it appears that season 6 is the center of these connections.
In the first season — titled "Murder House" — Billie Dean Howard (Sarah Paulson) tells Violet (Taissa Farmiga) about the colony of Roanoke and how their spirits were banished from the land by the use of talismans and the word that was written on a post when the colony supposedly disappeared, "Croatoan."
In episode 3 of season 6, Lee narrated the legend of Roanoke and in episode 4, Cricket Marlowe (Leslie Jordan) says that the new Miller house is built on the land of the lost colony of Roanoke where several spirits were bound.
Aside from the lineage of the Mott family appearing in a few seasons of "American Horror Story," the "Croatoan" spell has been used several times in the series to get rid of spirits and ghosts.
