Aaron Hernandez 2017 news: Former NFL star commits suicide, leaves behind fiancée and daughter

The former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez committed suicide last Wednesday, leaving behind his fiancée and daughter.

Hernandez was a former NFL star known for being one of the best tight ends of the New England Patriots. He started his career back in 2007 when he first entered college in Urban Meyer's Univesity of Florida. However, it ended in 2013 when he was arrested for the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Upon his arrest, the Patriots had begun cutting their ties with the player by taking him off their roster and encouraging fans to return his memorabilia by providing them with compensation. Soon enough, even pictures of Hernandez and his glory games were taken down in his Alma Mater in Florida, Coed confirmed.

The year 2017 was supposed to be the year that things will turn around for Hernandez. Sports Illustrated reports that Hernandez was found innocent of two murders in Boston and that he was found not guilty in five out of six charges. This means that Hernandez will only have to appeal to the charges regarding Lloyd's murder. However, Hernandez took his own life inside his jail cell last Wednesday morning.

Hernandez was discovered at around 3 a.m. and was immediately brought to UMass Memorial Hospital, where he was declared dead an hour later. Aside from using his bed sheet as the material for his hanging, he also jammed the door to prevent anyone from entering.

The former NFL player decided to take his own life at 27 years old, leaving behind his four-year-old baby girl, Avielle Janelle Hernandez, along with his fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins Hernandez, and his remaining family, older brother D.J. Hernandez and mother Terri Hernandez.

Investigations are currently ongoing to discover what reasons Hernandez may have had to make the decision to take his own life since things seemed to be getting better for him.
