The author of "13 Reasons Why" is eager to see a continuation of the Netflix adaptation series based on his novel. Meanwhile, the actor who portrayed Bryce shared his experience in channeling the dark side of his character.

"13 Reasons Why" on Netflix is a series adaptation of the best-selling book of the same title created by Jay Asher. The book follows the story of Clay Jensen as he discovers the 13 reasons that made Hannah Baker commit suicide.

The Netflix adaptation series created by Brian Yorkey ended differently from the book. It ended with several cliffhangers, including Alex (Miles Heizer) being rushed to the hospital because of a gunshot wound to his head and Tyler (Devin Druid) stockpiling several weapons for an undisclosed reason. It also didn't show whether Hannah's (Katherine Langford) tapes will be enough to convict Bryce (Justin Prentice) of his sexual assaults.

The outcome of the Netflix adaptation made Asher eager to see a continuation of the characters' stories.

"I'd just like a continuation of all those characters. ... What happens to Clay? How do people react to what Alex did at the very end? What's going to happen to Mr. Porter (Derek Luke)? I'd thought of a sequel at some point. I'd brainstormed it, but decided I wasn't going to write it. So I'd love to see it," Asher shared with Entertainment Weekly.

Asher says that he is not allowed to talk about whether or not there will be a second season for the series, which is something that is not yet confirmed by the producers of the show.

Meanwhile, Prentice shared in an interview with The Huffington Post how he handled portraying a character with such a dark role.

"I was kind of terrified because I knew what my character's arc was and what I was going to have to do at some point. So I did a lot of research to help, but it obviously affects you emotionally," Prentice explained.

Prentice added that all of them on set tried to "keep things lighthearted" just to keep themselves in check all throughout productions.

All episodes of '13 Reasons Why' are available for streaming on Netflix.
