'The Affair' season 2 spoilers: Noah's lack of trust in Alison consumes him in episode 11

Noah discovers Alison's lies in the upcoming episode of "The Affair." Facebook/Showtime

Noah Solloway's (Dominic West) trust in Alison (Ruth Wilson) is ebbing away fast in the upcoming episode of the hit Showtime series "The Affair."

In "11," the three promo videos released show the successful author's growing doubt about his fiancée's integrity. Noah has learned that Alison has not been going to grad school as she promised. In the first clip, he is seen telling his best friend Max (Josh Stamberg) how frustrated he is, as she is just wasting his money. Last episode, it was revealed that Alison wanted to be a doctor. While at first, she appeared to be enthusiastic about returning to school, the next days showed differently. She started missing her classes until the day she told her professor she just could not cope with the school works while taking care of her one-year old daughter.

Max, for his part, tells Noah that he should have expected Alison's lies, as their relationship did not exactly inspire honesty. They started with an affair, where the two of them became quite adept at lying to their spouses. This leads the discussion to Helen (Maura Tierney), who is already divorced from Noah, as viewers learned last episode. Max claims Helen still loves him, but Noah disagrees. He says Helen already has a new boyfriend, Dr. Vic (Omar Metwally), whom she is "bananas" about.

The next promo shows Oscar (Darren Goldstein) telling Noah how disgusted he is with Alison. He says her heart was not broken by her little boy's death, as she has no heart to begin with. Alison's former employee is referring to her and Cole's (Joshua Jackson) son. The scene cuts to Noah looking confused while driving. Alison is on the road in front of him and it looks like he will run her over. The video cut again to a different scene, where Alison is asking Noah if he believes her.

In the last teaser, viewers get a glimpse of Noah's trial proceedings. Cole is on the witness stand and he is relieving the night Scotty (Colin Donnell) was murdered. Cole is saying that Noah attacked his brother and started hitting him "over and over again." Then it is the turn of the defendant's lawyer to question him. He is asking Cole what he feels whenever he looks at Noah. Cole answers he feels nothing. Noah's counsel is making it look like Cole wants to punish Noah for having an affair with his ex-wife and he is using the trial to get back at him.

"The Affair" airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on Showtime.
