'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' season 3 spoilers: Holt's sister pays him a visit in episode 9

Captain Holt's feisty sister Debbie (Niecy Nash) will pay him a visit in the upcoming episode of the FOX series "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."

According to Entertainment Weekly, Debbie is set to bestow some holiday cheer to the residents of the 99<sup>th precinct when she arrives in January. Last time, it was Captain Holt's ex-boyfriend Frederick (Nick Offerman) who got much of the attention of the agents, when he unexpectedly appeared during the Nov. 22 episode titled "Ava." This time, it looks like it will a period for some family matters, as Holt and Debbie are expected to reminisce about old times.

Nash took to Twitter to express her excitement in guest starring in the cop comedy show. She said she is blessed and happy to be part of the series that she tagged "hilarious." According to Hypable, Nash has been recently seen as security guard Denise Hamphill on "Scream Queens" and as nurse Didi Ortley in HBO's "Getting On."

In the upcoming episode titled "The Swedes," the agents will team up with a pair of investigators from Sweden in an international case. Jake (Andy Samberg) and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) will be tapped to work on this one and as the viewers have come to expect from these two, they will make it into a game of one-upping each other. The Swedes, who will be played by guest stars Blake Anderson and Riki Lindhome, will also be in the zone, as they will make sure the B99 officers are not the only ones to steal the limelight.

Meanwhile, Holt (Andre Braugher) will succeed in convincing Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) to be his partner in the annual squash tournament. While practicing with Terry (Terry Crews), they will even get to see celebrity astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. The competition will surely be an exciting one, as Holt once again attempts to secure the trophy for this year. Will he and Charles succeed?

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3 episode 9 will air on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 8.30 p.m. EST on FOX.
