The excitement-filled eighth season of "The Walking Dead" continues next week with its third episode, and a trailer for the installment has been released. With Rick facing off against Morales, the upcoming episode will continue the epic action that the first two episodes started.

The third episode is titled "Monsters," and like the two episodes before it, will feature another epic battle. The preview teased a confrontation between Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Morales (Juan Gabriel Pareja), a character that was part of the show's original characters in season 1, but has not appeared on the show since then.

Morgan (Lennie James), Tara (Alanna Masterson), and Jesus (Tom Payne) are featured in the trailer, along with their newly-acquired Saviour prisoners' gang.

It appears that Morales has had a huge change in character since he was last seen. "My people, they're coming," Morales said to Rick. "And we'll get you to Negan."

Aaron (Ross Marquand) also appeared in the trailer, carrying his wounded partner Eric (Jordan Woods-Robinson). Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Enid (Katelyn Nacon) are also shown to be back at Hilltop.

Ezekiel (Khary Payton) ends the trailer narrating, "We will lose not one of our ranks," as his own faction's members engage in a deadly faceoff against the opposing Savior forces.

This eighth season of "The Walking Dead" has surprised many with the amount of action that it has been showing since the premiere episode was aired last week.

The first two episodes of the season alone featured more action sequences than the rest of the previous seven seasons combined. Basing on the brief previews shown in the episode 3 trailer, it looks like the show has no plans of slowing down.

However, some have noted that the increased action in the series come with very limited stakes, as it seems the show's heroes are not in any real danger, as evidenced by zero casualties on their side.

"The Walking Dead" airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT on AMC.
