A new Blast Map and a TIE fighter ship were added to the action-shooter video game "Star Wars Battlefront II" through a new patch. Patch 1.1 is the video game's first patch for 2018, and it brings new contents, altered hero abilities, bug fixes, and more.

The patch is now live, and along with it is the inclusion of Crait to the Blast Game Mode. According to Star Wars Battlefront Community Guy Mat Everett, aka Sledgehammer70, the map of Crait is being maximized. "Battle in the mines among the machinery and crystals leftover from the previous occupants," Sledgehammar70 wrote.

Other than the new map, Iden Versio's TIE/In Fighter is also added as a "new Hero Starfighter in multiplayer matches." The TIE fighter's abilities include Afterburner, Laser Barrage, Dual Proton Torpedoes, and Inferno Leaders. The vessel also comes with various Star Cards, including Engine Heat Dissipator, Advanced Torpedoes, Vengeful Barrages, and so much more.

Patch 1.1 also brings changes to balance things out in the gameplay to promote the best gaming experience. For example, Phasma's heat generated coming from her F-11D weapon is reduced. Finn's EL-16's base damage is decreased from 65 to 45. Lando and Boba Fett also got some downgrades for fair play.

The patch does not only apply to heroes but to classes and special units as well. Wookie Warrior's Bowcaster center projectile damage multiplier goes down to 1 from 1.3. Bowcaster heat per shot, however, is increased. More changes are added for weapons and maps.

"Star Wars Battlefront II's" general gameplay and efficiency are also improved with stability improvements, LAAT overhead sound fixed, and more.

Sledgehammer70 also teased fans with more upcoming updates in the near future. "This is just the first of many exciting updates in store, so please keep your feedback coming," he wrote.

The video game received fairly impressive scores from critics. GameSpot gave the title a score of 6 out of 10 and a 6.5 from IGN.
