Sony is still mum about the release date of its next flagship device, but it will not stop rumors about the highly awaited Xperia Z4 from surfacing online.

Most of the rumors about the Sony Xperia Z4's release date claim that the device will be unveiled at the IFA 2015 trade show this fall, after it failed to make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain earlier this month. According to the Ecumenical News, the Japanese mobile phone manufacturer might unveil the Xperia Z4 sometime in September at the international electronics convention in Berlin.

Sony Vice President of Global Communications and PR Tim Harrison talked about their release plans for the flagship smartphone on TrustedReviews, saying, "Z4 is the next-generation of product that we'll be announcing. No, we haven't [moved to a more traditional 12 month product cycle]. As a general rule you will see some adjustment to the way we phase our products, but we're certainly not going to offer any specific details as to when we are going to bring our next products, beyond these, at this stage."

The Sony Xperia Z4 allegedly comes with either a 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch screen display, plus high-end internal features including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, either a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 or a quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 processor, and an Adreno 430 graphics processor. The device will also possibly come running with an Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile operating system straight out of the box.

In addition, the Sony Xperia Z4 is expected to feature a 20.7-megapixel primary camera and a 4.8-megapixel front snapper, with a 32 GB internal memory as well as 4 GB of RAM. The device is also said to come with a powerful 3420 mAh battery with a Qi Wireless Charging system.
