In the wake of the new trailer for the upcoming film "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," Samsung seeks to get in on the action by releasing its limited edition Star Wars-themed vacuum cleaners. The Powerbot VR7000 vacuum cleaners features two new designs, a Darth Vader version featuring the villain's iconic mask; and a Stormtrooper edition which is a replica of the imperial troops' black and white helmet.

Both designs come with a number of smart sensors that map the shape of the room. These enable the device to avoid obstacles while moving around to perform cleaning duties.

Aside from their looks, the vacuum cleaners also have a neat feature that any Star Wars fan would adore. Both versions produce sounds associated with their respective character. The Stormtrooper edition calls out "Let's go!" as soon as it starts cleaning the room, while the Darth Vader variant makes the iconic breathing noises of the Sith Lord.

B.S. Suh, the executive vice president of the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, said that the company worked closely with fans of the long-running franchise in the creating the themed versions.

"We are very pleased to be part of the excitement leading up to the release of the Last Jedi and to be launching our limited edition POWERbotâ„¢ in partnership with Star Wars fans," said Suh in a statement. "From its industry-leading suction power, slim design, and smart features, to the wonderful character-themed voice feedback and sound effects, we are confident the Star Wars limited edition of the VR7000 will be a big hit."

VR7000 Star Wars limited edition includes all the core cleaning technologies that Samsung has introduced with the original VR7000m including the CycloneForce technology, the Edge Clean Master, and a suction power of 10 watts.

Additionally, the Darth Vader edition comes with Wi-Fi connectivity and a remote control. Users can control the device from their smartphones, as well as issue voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

Both versions are now available via pre-order and will begin shipping out on Nov. 5. The Darth Vader edition sells for $799, while the Stormtrooper version is priced at $699.
