Grammy and Academy Awards recipient Eminem just dropped his latest album "Revival." Em's ninth studio album generated mixed reviews from fans and critics.

Eminem dropped his newest rap album, "Revival" on Dec. 15.

Few critics indicate that Marshall Mathers might have lost his touch with the craft he has perfected for years. On the other hand, there are people saying new-generation rappers can learn a little something from Eminem's new album.

Some publications slam the album for lacking essential rap elements. Some people are even saying that "Revival" might be the worst album Eminem has released so far.

Rolling Stone agrees that the album is missing a few components. The publication said that the album is not as narrative as the previous ones, but that Eminem's style remains unique and honest. Rolling Stone gave the album a score of 3.5 out of 5. HipHop DX gave the album a fair score of 3.2 out of 5.

"Revival" has a huge roster of music artists including Grammy Awards winners like Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys, and Pink. Sheeran, during an interview with The Times, described what it was like working with the world-renowned rapper. Sheeran called the experience "highlight of my career."

Mathers also collaborated with other talented artists like Phresher, X Ambassadors, Kehlani, and Skylar Grey.

Just like his new album, Eminem's anti-Trump freestyle during the most recent BET awards received mixed reviews. Earlier this year, Eminem made headlines after bashing United States President Donald Trump with a freestyle verse of his own. The rapper received praise from several artists and celebrities, as well as criticism from some individuals.

Eminem has not commented on the negative feedback from critics and fans. The Detroit rapper also has not released any tour agenda for 2018. There are also no hints from the rapper about a potential album or project in the near future.
