Developers of the online battle royal video game "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" are targeting cheaters to establish a "fair play environment" for players. Gamers will be able to report suspected cheaters with the in-game replay feature of PUBG.
There have been several complaints from players about other players cheating their way to victory in the video game. A number of gamers shared their experiences with cheaters in a Giant Bomb online forum. One player wrote, "My first game playing after the full release update the person that killed me did a complete 180 and got a headshot with the Kar."
The PUBG Development and Community Team released an announcement via Steam on how to determine cheaters much easily. Players will soon be able to report cheaters with the in-game replay system. This indicates that honest players do not have to be killed just to be able to use the initial in-game reporting system. PUBG wrote, "Players, as we have said on numerous occasions, we are committed to creating a fair play environment in PUBG and are always looking for ways to decrease the amount of active cheats and their users."
A test build is currently under way for the in-replay tool and a few improvements to the game's entire content to upgrade game performance. PUBG Corp. will soon announce the exact date for the release of the live server update. The new update tweaks PUBG's gameplay, world, item, and UI/UX. Bugs reported by gamers like some not being able to pass through an open door are also addressed and fixed with the update.
Developers also added two new crates to the crate system. Test server players are given "100,000 BP and 6 Early Bird Keys" to test out the new crates. The development team indicated that when the two crates made it to the live servers, gamers have a higher chance of acquiring one of the new crates.
