Nintendo to release new limited edition 'Legend of Zelda' bundles for Black Friday

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" Explorer's Edition. Nintendo

As the year's shopping season commences and Black Friday draws closer, Nintendo announced a couple of limited edition bundles themed around the "Legend of Zelda" franchise that will be a must have for diehard fans of the game series.

The company will be releasing a Nintendo 2DS with an "Ocarina of Time" theme, and a new Explorer's Edition of the Nintendo Switch title "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."

The new variant of the 2DS will come in the color green, the shade of which is similar to the color seen in the games. The handheld console will come with a pre-installed copy of the remastered version of "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time," one of the most popular titles in the franchise.

The bundle is priced at $79.99, which is the same as a regular Nintendo 2DS console, but it is a great deal considering that it is a special variant and has a great game already included.

Aside from the new 2DS, Nintendo will also be releasing a limited edition of one of the best games to be released this year, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." The version is called the Explorer's Edition, and will come with the base game, a 100-page explorer's guide, and a two-sided map of Hyrule.

This version costs $59.99, the same price as the regular version of the game. It should be noted that it will include the base game only and will not come with any new game content or downloadable content (DLC). This will be a great draw for players who are still on the fence about purchasing the game. For avid "Legend of Zelda" fans, the book and the map would be a must-have, even if that means purchasing the game a second time.

Both bundles will be available in many retail stores on Black Friday.
