Nicki Minaj MTV VMA performance video [FULL]: Watch 'Anaconda' and 'Bang Bang' with Ariana Grande, Jessie J

Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and Jessie J opened the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards tonight with their smash single titled "Bang Bang." Both Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande also performed their singles "Anaconda" and "Break Free" respectively.

Prior to tonight's performance, it has been reported that a dancer for Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" performance was bitten by a snake during rehearsal. The snake has been described by a 6-foot boa constrictor. The female back up dancer, who is also a contortionist, was transported to a hospital after being treated at the scene. The woman was reportedly bitten on the inside of her left hand. The rehearsals resumed without the boa constrictor.

According to MTV, the snake has been used in performance for 15 years and is said to be non-venomous.

Other performers at tonight's MTV VMAs included Beyonce, Iggy Azalea, Taylor Swift, Usher and Maroon 5. Iggy Azalea performed her song "Black Widow"with Rita Ora, and Taylor Swift performed her new single "Shake it Off."

Presenters included Demi Lovato, Gwen Stefani, Kim Kardashian, Laverne Cox, Dylan O'Brien, Jason DeRulo, Nina Dobrev, Lorde, Uzo Aduba,Taylor Schilling and Trey Songz.

The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards was broadcast live from the 'Fabulous' Forum in California on Sunday, August 24.

This year's MTV Video Music Awards honored Beyonce with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Last year's recipient was Justin Timberlake, and other recipients include Madonna, Beastie Boys, and Britney Spears.
