Moto 360 2: Motorola's second gen smartwatch could be available in two sizes

Last month, a rumor in regards to the specifications of Motorola's successor to the Moto 360 smartwatch had surfaced, claiming that the upcoming second generation of Moto 360 smartwatch will likely sport a 1.56-inch LCD display screen with a 360 x 360 pixel resolution.

Just recently, the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) made an appearance through Brazil's telecom regulator Anatel's certification. Android Police reports that Anatel has listed two new Motorola smartwatches called the 360S and 360L.

The report adds that the 360S is expected to pack a 270 mAh battery, while the 360L is anticipated to use a larger 375 mAh battery.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the listing suggests that the new watch could be available in two different sizes, in which the letter "S" stands for small, while the letter "L" stands for large.

Meanwhile, Android Police reports that the letters point to two different strap sizes, not for the watch itself. In addition, Motorola recently unveiled a new video via Twitter, suggesting the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) smartwatch is coming out anytime soon.

In terms of the specs, the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) is rumored to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 512 MB RAM, 4 GB built-in memory storage, and a large 400 mAh battery. VR Zone reported last month that the watch is expected to support Bluetooth 4.1 and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity. Also, this smartwatch will run on the Android Wear operating system (OS), like its predecessor.

Other new smartwatches expected to arrive in the market this year include Samsung's Galaxy S2 and the Huawei Watch. The Galaxy S2 device is expected to be announced next month during the IFA 2015 event that will be held in Berlin, Germany. As for the Huawei Watch, it is seen to arrive very soon in international markets such as Australia, Japan, North America, and Europe.
