Man of Steel 2 Sequel: Batman cast rumors update: Movie title "Superman vs Batman" or vice versa?

 Warner Brothers

Superhero fans are eagerly awaiting for a Batman and Superman film, after plans for the "Man of Steel" sequel was announced by Zack Snyder at last week's Comic-Con San Diego.

The director had confirmed that there will indeed be a sequel to the latest Superman flick, and revealed that Batman will be making an appearance. Snyder stated: "I'm so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can't wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter. Let's face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Super Heroes in the world."

However, the title of the first film to feature both characters has not been confirmed yet.

In a recent report, screenwriter David S. Goyer said, "The next film we're making, we're already in pre-production, comes out in summer of 2015 and it's — we're actually not sure whether the title is Superman vs. Batman or Batman vs. Superman."

This may mean that the "Man of Steel" sequel may not be called "Man of Steel 2", and may be called "Superman vs Batman" or vice versa.

Meanwhile, there is speculation as to who will take on the role of Batman. It would be great if Christian Bale agrees to take on the role, but provided that he doesn't agree to return, Crave Online has name its top ten contenders to play the Batman role in the Superman/Batman collaboration.

1. Joseph Gordon-Levitt

2. Richard Madden

3. Tom Hardy

4. James Badge Dale

5. Armie Hammer

6. James Franco

7. Jared Padalecki

8. Alexander Skarsgard

9. Taylor Kitsch

10. Ryan Gosling

"Man of Steel 2" or "Superman vs Batman" will be released in 2015.
