A man has rammed a truck into a Baltimore TV station building this afternoon, sparking an evacuation of all staff.

The man, who could potentially be armed, is currently holed up in the building as SWAT teams are reported to have moved in to catch the man.

It is being reported that weapons were recovered from the dump truck that he crashed into the WMAR-TV building.

ABC2 reporter Brian Kuebler, who witnessed the crash, said the man claimed to be God while trying to get into the building, yelling, "let me in!" Afterwards, he got into the truck and rammed the building three times. He tweeted, "I saw last 3 as he broke through into lobby."

Local residents are urged to be vigilant and avoid the area, which has now turned into a crime scene. A nearby school is currently placed on lockdown.

All staff and crew members of the TV station are said to be safe.
