LG Nemo smartwatch specs rumors: highest resolution at 480 x 480 pixels

According to recent reports, South Korean giant LG Electronics Inc. might be preparing to launch a new smartwatch product called the LG Nemo, which will sport a high quality 480 x 480 pixel resolution.

To date, the company's LG Watch Urbane smartwatch sports the highest resolution at 320 x 320 pixels, according to Tech Radar. This watch comes with a circular 1.3-inches P-OLED display screen, according to GSM Arena, and was just launched back in March.

Possibly the highest resolution available on an Android Wear-based smartwatch is found on Huawei's first ever smartwatch product, the Huawei Watch, which sports a 400 x 400 pixel resolution. This watch comes with a round 1.4-inch AMOLED display screen and is covered by sapphire crystal.

Recently, it was revealed that the Huawei Watch had just made its way through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification in the United States, and is expected to arrive anytime soon to international markets.

As of this time, not much is known yet about LG's rumored Nemo device, except that it is expected to have the sharpest display screen resolution in comparison with today's smartwatches.

Other news include Samsung's plan to release the new successor to its Galaxy S device. Called the Galaxy S2, this smartwatch was recently unveiled during the company's Unpacked event, and is expected to launch next month during the IFA 2015 event in Germany.

In terms of the specs, the Galaxy S2 is expected to sport a Super AMOLED display with a 360 x 360 pixel resolution. This watch will come with a circular screen design as well, and will run on Samsung's latest Tizen operating system (OS).

In addition, the Galaxy S2 is expected to pack Samsung's own Exynos processor along with 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB internal memory, and a 250 mAh battery, according to earlier reports.
