LG G4 vs Moto X Style specs comparison: Which Android smartphone reigns?

 Motorola

Motorola Mobility recently announced its new Moto X Style smartphone, which is expected to be launched this coming September. The Moto X Style was announced last month alongside another phone called the Moto X Play.

Known as the "Pure Edition" for the U.S. market, the new Moto X Style handset is almost similar to LG's recently released G4 smartphone, in terms of the specifications, however, there are still some differences between the two.

One of the main differences is the new Moto X Style's super sharp 21 mega pixel rear camera. The LG G4 comes with a lower 16 mega pixel camera on the back and an 8 mega pixel front-facing camera. The Moto X Style will only have a 5 mega pixel camera on the front.

Under the hood, both phones are powered by Qualcomm's MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 processor, large 3000 mAh batteries along with 3GB RAM. While the LG G4 sports a 5.5 inch display screen, the Moto X Style sports a slightly larger 5.7 inch screen.

Both phones come with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolutions and they also run on the same Android 5.1 version Lollipop (OS) operating system. The Moto X Style uses TFT on its screen, while the G4 uses IPS LCD. Also, the Moto X Style weighs about 179 grams, which is 15 percent heavier than the LG G4 (155 grams), according to GizMag.

Both phones support Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi connectivity, NFS, GPS and fast charging capabilities. In terms of the design, the LG G4 comes with a plastic finish along with a leather option on the back. The Moto X Style, on the other hand, sports a metal frame that can be used with different materials, such as leather, walnut or silicone, among others.

In addition, Motorola's Moto X Play is expected to be released this month, according to GSM Arena. This phone sports a 5.5 inch display screen, like the G4, and has a 21 mega pixel primary camera, like the Moto X Style.
