Kristen Stewart on her 'Twilight' films: 'I'm lucky to have had that experience'

Fans of "Twilight," the vampire movie franchise based on Stephenie Meyer's novels of the same title, will be glad to know that actress Kristen Stewart, who played Bella Swan, recently revealed that she owes much to the franchise.

Stewart, in an interview with E! News at The Museum of Modern Art Film Benefit in New York City, revealed that the film significantly contributed to who she is now. "Every part that I've ever played has shaped me in such a significant way... I know from an outsider's perspective you might have something to say about that like in general. But I kind of view it as every other thing that I've invested in and really loved. And I'm lucky to have had that experience," the 27-year-old actress said.

Stewart played the female protagonist opposite Robert Pattinson's vampire character, Edward Cullen. The onscreen couple took their on-screen romance to real life when they confirmed that they were together during the duration of the franchise, whose last movie, "Breaking Dawn Part 2," was released five years ago.

After the franchise, however, the actors went their separate ways, both professionally and personally. Stewart starred in movies like "Personal Shopper" and "American Ultra." She also dated St. Vincent, model Cara Delevingne's ex, and Alicia Cargile. Now, she is usually spotted with Victoria's Secret model Stella Maxwell.

Meanwhile, Pattinson has been seen in movies like "Bel Ami," "The Lost City of Z," "Maps To The Stars," and "Life." He had been dating singer FKA Twigs, and the two had been engaged until they recently called it quits. But, sources reveal that the two are still very much into each other and that the only thing that forced the dreaded decision was the conflict in their schedule.
