Robert Pattinson, FKA Twigs update: is reconciliation on the cards?

"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson and singer FKA Twigs might have decided to end their relationship recently, thereby calling off their engagement, but it seems that the two are not ready to give up just yet, at least according to a source.

This new claim shut down the rumored romance of the 31-year-old actor with another singer, Katy Perry. Rumors had it that Pattinson was "leaning" on Perry, possibly asking for advice over his breakup with Twigs. The "Swish Swish" singer was spotted with Pattinson in August, but people in the know had said that they were just good friends.

A source who spoke with People revealed that Pattinson and Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, were still open for a possible fence-mending. The source also clarified that the two had indeed split up because of the extreme conflict with their schedules.

The insider also noted that the "Two Weeks" singer, who had been very busy with an album, and the "Remember Me" actor, who had also taken his time with press tours, had not seen each other for two months. The source believed that the former couple was just "taking a break" and went on to say that the breakup was not nasty at all.

"He still loves her and I think that's the girl he wants to marry," the source said. To support this possibility, the source revealed that the 29-year-old singer still kept the engagement ring and that Pattinson had not asked for the band back either, making the idea of a reconciliation possible.

The couple had not confirmed nor denied any of the rumors. After being seen together in 2014, Pattinson and Twigs got engaged in 2015. Prior to this, Pattinson had dated "Twilight" co-star Kirsten Stewart for four years until they decided to end the relationship in April 2013.
