The first season of the "iZombie series," which is also based on a comic book published by DC Comics, first kicked off last March 17 and ended afterwards on June 9.

The newly released series focuses on the character of actress Rose Mclver, portrayed as Liv Moore, who transformed into a zombie one day as she was attending a party.

Liv works at a mortuary as an assistant and eats human brains in order for her to survive. Another character in the series, named Ravi, finds about Liv's unusual condition, and as her boss, advises Liv to consume the brains of the murder victims that end up in the morgue.

As a consequence of Liv's condition, she was able to remember the lost memories of the murder victims and made use of it by helping the police. One character portraying as a detective with the police department is actor Malcolm Goodwin.

According to a recent interview by The Young Folks with Malcolm Goodwin, it remains uncertain whether Malcolm's character, who is the detective, will get to know about Liv's secret this season.

Liv's best friend Peyton, portrayed by actress Aly Michalka, is returning to the scene according to a confirmation by co-creator Rob Thomas. Thomas also said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Aly's character did not turn into a zombie after an attack that had occurred.

As of this time, it's still uncertain when the new "iZombie season" will begin airing. The series had become popular, according to several reviews, earning a 91 per cent by Rotten Tomatoes and 8.1 out 10 points by IMDb which was based on more than 40,000 votes.
