Disgraced Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein just sold his mansion in The Hamptons for $10 million. Weinstein had to settle for $10 million with legal proceedings being pressed against him and the entire industry leaving him behind amid the controversial sexual scandal in Hollywood.
According to 27East, Weinstein sold his mansion to pharmaceutical company Taisho Holdings Inc. for $10 million. The mansion is situated along 50 Broadview in the Big Apple and is next to the beautiful Gardiner's Bay.
Weinstein bought the mansion back in 2014 with his ex-wife Georgina Chapman for $11.4 million. Weinstein ended up losing $1.4 million for the 9,000 square-foot residential property, which he tried selling at $13.5 million in 2016. The massive shelter comes with full beach access, five bedrooms, an outdoor swimming pool, and so much more.
The interior and exterior designs of the mansion are filled with extravagant furniture, decorations, and more.
The $10 million he got from selling the house will only make a dent his expenditures, including a number of legal cases being thrown against him. A number of sexual allegations against Weinstein ignited one of the biggest movements in the entertainment industry with women taking the helm. Over 80 sexual abuse and harassment victims are prepared to bring Weinstein to justice with legal actions. Weinstein is also required to distribute over $15 million to $20 million of his assets to his ex-wife due to a divorce settlement.
Weinstein took a big hit financially after the allegations broke out and he initially asked Netflix for $25 million, but the video streaming company declined. The 65-year-old movie mogul was also turned away by Miramax, a company he co-founded with his brother Bob.
In other latest news, another American actress is joining the group of women accusing Weinstein of sexual misconduct. Actress Anne Heche claimed Weinstein fired her after she refused to engage with the perpetrator's sexual deeds during a podcast with "Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss."
