Gwyneth Paltrow news: Oscar winning actress engaged to writer boyfriend Brad Falchuk

It's official -- Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow is engaged to her longtime boyfriend and television writer Brad Falchuk. The "Shakespeare in Love" star announced the news on Instagram by posting the cover photo of her and Falchuk for Goop magazine.

Paltrow and Falchuk are both wearing white shirts while the latter is hugging his fiancee from behind in the Instagram photo with the caption of a ring emoji. Many of her fans quickly congratulated their engagement. American fashion model Karlie Kloss also joined in by commenting "Congratulations you love birds!" One follower wrote, "Congratulations to you both!! You're so blessed to find love again."

As reported by Good Morning America, Gwyneth and Falchuk released a joint statement about their engagement. "We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship," the couple wrote.

There are still no hints nor updates from the newly engaged couple if they have already set a date for the big day. Many fans are already asking when and where the two are planning to tie the knot.

Paltrow and Falchuk started dating back in 2014 after they met on the set of the musical comedy series "Glee." Falchuk co-created the series, and Paltrow was a guest star playing the role of Holly Holiday. Paltrow won an Emmy award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in the musical series.

It was also the same year Paltrow separated from his ex-husband, Coldplay's frontman Christ Martin. Paltrow and Martin tied the knot back in 2003. Paltrow and Martin's divorce was finalized back in 2016. They share two children, Apple and Moses, who will soon welcome Falchuk in the family as their stepfather.
