Essential Phone's Pure White version now available for purchase

After a number of delays, the Essential Phone finally started shipping out last month. However, only one color variant of the phone was available despite Essential promising four different colors when it was announced. That changed this week, as a second color, Pure White, is now available for purchase.

Since the phone started shipping in early September, only the Black Moon variant could be found in stores where Essential can be purchased. The three other colors were delayed without any estimated time of arrival.

Now, the Pure White variant can be purchased at Essential's website, as well as retailers like Amazon. However, Sprint has yet to update its listing to include the new color, and Best Buy still says it is coming soon.

The Pure White version is quite a looker, as the clean white background looks great with the minimalist design of the Essential Phone. This color is also great for hiding fingerprint marks and scratches, compared to its darker counterpart.

In terms of physical design and build quality, the Pure White version has the same titanium and ceramic body as the Black Moon variant. It will also have the 5.7-inch display with minimal bezels on all sides.

Unfortunately, there is still no confirmed date of availability for the other two color variants, namely Stellar Grey and Ocean Depths. Customers who want these versions may have to wait longer before they can get their hands on them.

Despite the anticipation when the Essential Phone was teased, the phone went on to have a rocky start during the first weeks of its release. This was largely due to the repeated delays in production and release. Additionally, upon its release, many customers reported various issues with their new phones' cameras.

Essential has since then rolled out a number of fixes for the camera issues, and it is holding regular Ask-Me-Anything sessions on Reddit to keep an open dialogue with its customers.
