Fox's American sitcom "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" will soon celebrate the series airing 101 episodes on Dec. 12. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" recently welcomed a milestone with the release of its 99<sup>th episode titled "99."
The show will be having a two-episode special on Dec. 12. Season 5's episodes 10 and 11 will be airing back-to-back next Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. on FOX. Episode 10, "Game Night," will reveal a big news about Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) and she will be asking Jake Peralta's (Andy Samberg) to break the news to her parents. However, according to the episode's description, the Diaz family will assume that Rosa and Jake are dating, which will put the entire episode in spin.
The 11th episode will be the return of the shady Seamus Murphy (Paul Adelstein). The episode titled "The Favor" centers on Murphy looking to redeem the assistance he gave Holt (Andre Braugher) in order to help Jake and Rosa get out of prison. In the second episode of season 5, it was revealed that Murphy's information had proven to be useful in clearing the names of Jake and Rosa. However, the new character told Holt that it will cost him someday, and the day has come.
According to the summary of the 11th episode, the entire 99 squad will help Holt meet his end of the bargain without doing anything illegal.
During an interview with TV Guide, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" showrunner Dan Goor indicated that the 99<sup>th episode of the series is the milestone they've been waiting for. Goor said, "Ninety-Nine is the celebration... 100 is great, we're treating 99 tongue in cheek as our milestone episode."
Goor also revealed the show's plan for Jake and Amy's (Melissa Fumero) wedding. The co-creator indicated that the wedding might "be on or around the finale." It was revealed that the detective couple will be married on May. 15, which lands on a Tuesday in 2018. However, Goor said they are still not aware of the date of season 5's finale.
