"WWE 2K18" is set for release this month, but ahead of its release, 2K sports gave players a glimpse of the new game's character customization, progression, and its unique set of play styles.

The developers behind the upcoming game posted an article showcasing some of the details of "WWE 2K18's" MyPlayer system. The feature will emphasize player choice and offer a neat progression system that players can also use in multiplayer bouts.

MyPlayer allows gamers to customize the details of his or her wrestler, including physical aspects like appearance, height, and weight class. It will also give various options for the custom wrestler's attire, moves, presentation, and taunts.

Players will also get to choose the character's play style which will ultimately determine how the wrestler will fight in the ring. For beginners to this level of customizability, there will be a built-in wizard to help with the process.

There are eight different kinds of play styles, each specializing in two attributes. The High Flyer uses agility and speed to give exciting and fast-paced matches. The Showboat focuses on stamina and reversals to deliver show-stopping plays that would wow the crowd.

The Striker specializes in stand-up action with striking and stamina as its main attributes, while the Technician with its technique and grappling abilities will win the hearts of the people with entertaining but very technical moves.

The Brawler will bring fist-pounding toughness and athleticism to the ring, while the Strong Style will seek to overwhelm opponents with its grappling and reversals.

The Powerhouse style will use a combination of power and grappling to dominate the opponent. Finally, the Giant will use its innate power and toughness to outfight his enemies.

Players will be the ones to upgrade the different attributes of his or her character. This way, each character will be a unique one that matches the dream wrestlers that WWE fans want to see fighting in the ring.

The multiplayer mode will also consist of a player ranking system that will give prestigious titles like Living Legend and Hall of Famer to players' custom wrestlers.
