George Clooney is reportedly engaged to British lawyer Amal Alamuddin.

A source close to the couple confirmed to People: "George and Amal are trying to keep things very low-key but they also aren't really trying to hide this, it doesn't seem. I think it's like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever."

Clooney, 52, and Alamuddin, 36, have been pictured together a number of times.

Just recently, Alamuddin reportedly showed off a ring in Malibu, California, according to Entertainment Tonight.

News of Clooney's engagement is surprising for Clooney, who has been dubbed Hollywood's most eligible bachelor.
