Wales Called to Shake the Nation

The Call Cymru, Llangollen will be held on Saturday, 19th June 2004. It is a day of bringing people of all ages together to pray, fast and worship in unity. It is for all ages, all ethnic groups, all social backgrounds. There will also be an opportunity to respond to people who might be interested in pursuing a life in missions.

The call will start from 11am and go on til 8pm at Royal International Pavilion, Llangollen. It was first organised as a one-time prayer and fasting gathering, and had been a vision of Lou Engle's for 15 years. Though speakers and worship leaders were never advertised, each gathering is nameless and faceless; 400,000 people attended from across the globe. Faith was high that this could be the start of a new Jesus Revolution.

The gathering is neither a festival nor entertainment; but a fast, sincere sacrifice to move and to turn the nation back to God. It is calling people to come together for reconciliation between the generations, the races, genders, the nations, and the people of God. It is a Call to respond to the urgent summons in Joel 2:15-18, given at a time of crisis.

"Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly. Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber... Then the LORD will be jealous for his land and take pity on his people."

The Call desires to see God move to restore the foundations of the Christian faith and revive both this and other nations.
