This week, video game franchise "Uncharted" celebrated its 10<sup>th anniversary. To mark the event, PlayStation gave away free stuff to fans of the franchise.
PlayStation 4 players will be able to get some bling for their characters for free. The "Uncharted" 10th Anniversary Bundle, which includes a bunch of avatars and themes, will be given away for free until today. The bundle includes the "Uncharted" 10<sup>th Anniversary Theme and the "Uncharted" 10<sup>th Anniversary Avatar.
Also part of the bundle are the Remastered Dynamic Theme for "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" and "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves;" the Fire Dynamic Theme, Shipwreck Theme, and Ink Dynamic Theme from "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End;" and Avatar Pack 1 also from "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End."
Furthermore, there is a bundle of multiplayer skins for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" being given away as part of the 10<sup>th anniversary celebration. The bundle includes classic skins for "Uncharted" characters Elena, Nate, and Sully. "Uncharted" Points and Relic items are also being offered at half the price.
The first "Uncharted" game was released on Nov. 19, 2007 for PlayStation 3. Since then, the franchise has spawned five main titles. The latest one, "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy," was released in August, and was met with positive reviews from critics.
The game is considered as a standalone expansion to the series, and is the first game in the franchise to feature a protagonist other than Nate. In the latest title, the baton is passed to Chloe Frazer, who fans will recognize as the longtime supporting character who has been present in the franchise's narrative since "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" in 2009.
In related news, Sony will be hosting a retrospective panel from the PlayStation Experience event on Dec. 10. The event will take place in a life-sized recreation of Nate's attic, which was featured in "Uncharted 4."
It has been a great first decade for the "Uncharted" franchise. After releasing a series of very solid high-budget action adventure titles from Sony, fans will be looking forward to what the franchise has in store in the future.
