The Mindy Project season 2 will finally be premiering on Fox tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Mindy Kaling will be returning to the small screen tonight and will pick up from Mindy's volunteer mission to Haiti with Pastor Casey, played by Anders Holm. However, Holm is reportedly exiting the show in the new season.

Several noteworthy guest-stars will be making an appearance in the new series. James Franco and Timothy Olyphant are expected to guest-star as potential new romances for Mindy.

Kris Humphries, the former ex-husband of Kim Kardashian, is also set to make an appearance in the new season.

The Mindy Project is a comedy created by writer/producer and New York Times best-selling author Mindy Kaling.

Kaling, who stars as Dr. Mindy Lahiri, tries to juggle her personal life and professional life as a talented obstetrician. The show follows Mindy's quest for love while she keeps up with the demands of her stressful job.

The show first premiered in September 2012 to positive rave reviews from critics. The Mindy Project won Critics' Choice Television Award's "Most Exciting New Series." Mindy Kaling herself won the outstanding producer Gracie Award for her show.

For those who cannot wait until 9:30 p.m. tonight to watch the season premiere, the first episode of season 2 can be watched online on Hulu or Fox.com. The episode is titled "All My Problems Solved Forever."
