Thanksgiving 2017: Which restaurants are serving Turkey Day dinner?

Thanksgiving is that time of the year when family members and friends gather together and enjoy the comfort of home and the taste of a hearty home-cooked meal. However, with an increasing number of Americans choosing to eat their Thanksgiving dinner at restaurants, a number of places are making themselves available to serve families during the holiday

According to a survey from the National Restaurant Association, nine percent of Americans will opt to celebrate Thanksgiving at a restaurant this year. Here are some of the restaurants that will open their doors to families this Thanksgiving Day.

Applebee's will have some locations serving Thanksgiving dinner, complete with all the fixings of a home-cooked dinner this Thursday.

Ruth's Chris Steak House will be serving a three-course dinner, which will cost $39.95 for adults and $12.95 for children. The place will also offer take-out meals for those who wish to celebrate the holiday in their homes, but do not wish to do all the cooking.

Cracker Barrel will have all of its 647 locations open during Thanksgiving dinner. The restaurant expects the holiday to be one of its busiest days of the year, with over 500,000 points of turkey and a million slices of pie set to be ordered.

Families can also opt to order a take-out holiday meal for six to 10 people from Cracker Barrel. Family meals have to be ordered 24 hours in advance through the chain's website or mobile app.

Some restaurants, like Denny's and Waffle House, which are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year will continue with their regular schedule even during Thanksgiving.

For fast food options, staples like Burger King and McDonald's will have many of their stores open to offer comfort food, although their hours may vary depending on the location.

Those who wish to get into some all-you-can-eat action can go to Golden Corral, which will offer a buffet with turkey, pumpkin pie, and other Thanksgiving favorites.
