Syrians Gather to see The Passion of The Christ

Syrians gathered in front of Al-Cham Cinema in Damascus to see the film 'The Passion of The Christ'. Al-Cham is the only cinema in Syria to screen Mel Gibson's new controversial movie which depicts the last hours of Jesus' life, but pirated copies of it are allegedly being circulated around the country. The movie has drawn large turnouts in Syria, as some of its Christians, who make up 10 percent of the population, still speak Aramaic.
