Sky Angel to Host Easter Special Marathon

|PIC1|Those looking for Jesus on TV rather than the Easter Bunny this weekend might want to tune into American satellite broadcasters Sky Angel, who are scheduled to be hosting an all-day Easter programming marathon this Sunday, with back-to-back specials focused on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The channel, which will be airing Easter specials up to and throughout Sunday, will begin its marathon of documentaries, concerts, musicals and dramas at 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT and will conclude at 12 a.m. ET/9 p.m. PT, with the marathon airing on Sky Angel’s exclusive special events channel, Angel Two, channel 9702.

Among the many specials scheduled to air are Hillsong Easter, a music-filled Easter celebration from the world-acclaimed Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia, home of worship leader Darlene Zschech; Evidence for the Resurrection, which examines evidence of Jesus' resurrection; Emptiness Can Give Hope, a documentary focused on Christ's tomb, shot on location in Israel; and He’s Alive, a program produced by Cross TV which presents the five most popular theories about the Resurrection.

Easter programming scheduled to air prior to Sunday includes a worship celebration entitled Christ is Risen, airing April 14, 9:30 p.m. ET on CORNER/9712, The Seven Last Words of Christ, a beautiful dramatization of the Crucifixion airing on the 13th at 1 a.m. ET on FAMILYLND/9717, and The Case for Easter, a presentation which retraces the findings that led author Lee Strobel (The Case for Christ) from atheism to his belief in Christ, airing April 12 at 2 p.m., 8 p.m., and 11 p.m. on TLN/9714.
