Sega launches mysterious website for brand new RPG

Sega has launched a mysterious teaser website for an unnamed game, which is set to be revealed today.

The website only included a peculiar "◯◯◯×RPG," which does not seem to give out any clue as what the game might be. However, the Japanese website said that the game will be a completely new project.

The site did not provide any details, but the web address of the said teaser site included the Japanese word, kibou, which means hope. The platform on which the new game will be launched was not revealed. However, hawkeyed fans have scoured the source code of the website and found the keyword "iOS," which suggests that Sega may be gearing towards announcing a new mobile game.

Not long after the mysterious site was put up, rumors about what the new game might be started floating around. Although the site says that the game is a completely new project, it may be meant to throw fans in a loop, as Sega may be launching a new role-playing game based on an existing video game title.

As one of the oldest game developers and publishers around, Sega has its fair share of characters and titles that it can draw from when it comes to new projects. Earlier this year, Sega announced its intention to revive old intellectual properties. This new game may be a step toward that direction, as Sega may have found an old title that may potentially have a good niche in today's mobile phone-dominated landscape.

The nature of the announcement indicates that the upcoming release may not be as big as Sega's recently announced new installment in the "Valkyria" video game series. For the said title, the company dedicated a five-minute announcement trailer.

The mystery behind the announcement is very intriguing. However, the good news is that fans of the publisher's games will not have to wait long for the new game to be revealed, as its title will be announced today.
