Samsung's Galaxy X speculated to be launched in December this year

Samsung consumers are looking forward to the launch of the Galaxy 9 in February, but a new product by the company is making headlines. New reports have emerged suggesting that Samsung's foldable smartphone, the Galaxy X, might be launched in December this year.

The Galaxy X first made noise in 2017 with rumors about its specifications as a foldable phone and its price range. Information about the said phone is slim, and Samsung has not released any updates about it yet. According to initial rumors, the product will be launched in 2017, but 2017 has already come and gone. A new report published by Chinese publication ETnews suggests the multinational company will start producing Galaxy X smartphones this coming November. The launch of the product will commence later in December this year or during the first couple of months of 2019, according to the article.

It is also said in the article that the Galaxy X will be functional with a 7.3-inch flexible OLED screen. ETnews also adds that the Galaxy X will be a hybrid product, a crossover of the smartphone and the tablet. However, there are no details about the product's price rate, features, memory storage, and operating system. The publication does mention that the company aims to provide better momentum for the smartphone market after experiencing minimal growth.

Samsung has not addressed the article by the Chinese publication to confirm if the report is indeed true or not. The company recently built up anticipation for consumers with the announcement of the Galaxy S9 launch.

Samsung's smartphone roster for 2018 is pretty impressive and is helmed by the Galaxy S9. Many people are waiting for the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February for the launching of the Galaxy S9. There are no further updates from Samsung if the company will provide new updates about the Galaxy X during the MWC.
