Samsung Galaxy S7 release date, specs and features rumors: out this year?

 Samsung

South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics has just released the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active variant earlier this month in the U.S. via wireless carrier AT&T and plans to release the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 sometime before the end of this year.

Now, new reports have surfaced claiming the South Korean giant is also preparing to release another model and successor to the popular Samsung Galaxy S6, which was released just last April of this year.

The new reports are saying that Samsung might be planning to launch the new Samsung Galaxy S7 by the second half of this year. Other reports are claiming otherwise and are saying the new rumors are false.

Since no news has showed up directly from the South Korean company, these new rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. Phone Arena recently reported that these rumors came from a South Korean news publication with inside sources.

Softpedia, on the other hand, has reported that the rumors were inaccurate as Samsung has the tradition of launching a new Galaxy S handset every year. Softpedia added that the new Samsung Galaxy S7 will be launched possibly by March 2016.

The new Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone is expected to run on Google's latest Android M operating system, according to reports, and might pack at least 4 GB worth of RAM along with an Exynos processor.

The handset is expected to sport a 5.5 Super AMOLED 4K resolution display screen, according to Tech Times, along with 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB internal memory storage. Another rumor also suggests the phone will come with an iris scanning technology. The new smartphone is expected to be powered by a whopping 3500 mAh battery, but others say it will have a 2920 mAh battery.
