Samsung Galaxy Note 5 vs LG G4 Note: rumored specs from upcoming smartphones

While South Korean tech giants Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics are preparing to launch the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the LG G4 Note respectively by this year according to reports, here's what to expect from the two new smartphones in terms of the specs.

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to be released sometime before the end of this year, possibly during the upcoming IFA 2015 event in Germany, which will kick off by early September. A new report by Tech Radar suggests the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 might come out by the end of this coming August.

Its predecessor the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has been successful lately according to a recent customer satisfaction survey, which was carried out in the U.S., topping the list at the number one spot, followed by Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Now new reports have surfaced claiming the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge won't be coming out with the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 as previously expected, but Instead, Samsung is planning to release the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to have a 7.9 mm thin body and a 5.98 inch Super AMOELD display screen with 4K resolution. It is also expected to come with an upgraded S Pen Stylus and a whopping 4100 mAh battery. It will be powered by the new Exynos 7422 processor, according to reports.

The new LG G4 Note, on the other hand, is expected to sport a 5.7 or 5.9 inch display screen with 3K resolution. The handset might have 4 GB RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB internal memory space, according to earlier rumors. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor and a large 3500 mAh battery.

Rumors suggested the two new handsets will run on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. For the cameras, the Note 5 might have a 16 mega pixel rear camera and an 8 mega pixel front-facing shooter, while the LG G4 Note might have the same 16 mega pixel on the back and a 4 mega pixel front-facing camera, according to an earlier report by Ecumenical News.
