Russell Commission

Youth Action Network held a place on the Russell Commission Advisory Group in order to represent our members’ views at a national level. The report is now out and we hope you are happy with the recommendations – we certainly are! However, now is a crucial time and I have to admit we, at Youth Action Network are all a little nervous about the future.

The high level of financial commitment by the government means that a lot could be done to improve the co-ordination of youth volunteering and ensure that more young people and organisations are able to access its benefits.

Youth Action Network will now be working hard to represent your interests and those of the young people we work with to help ensure that building on good local support and involving young people remain key features of making the Russell recommendations a reality.
