After Kristen Stewart expressed her gratitude of her "Twilight" movies, her former on-screen partner and ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson recalled his moments with the franchise, which was inspired by Stephenie Meyers' books of the same name.
In a recent interview with E! News during the 27th Annual IFP Gotham Awards, Pattinson revealed that "Twilight" was a "magical" experience for him. "I mean it's completely crazy. I still haven't really processed it. I mean I always thought that there'd be more of a fallout — a psychological fallout years later," Pattinson added.
But, the 31-year-old actor claimed that the expected fallout did not happen to him, and he clarified that the "Twilight" part of his life was amazing. As mentioned, the same goes for his ex, Stewart. Earlier, the 27-year-old actress admitted that she felt lucky to have gained the experience.
"Twilight" revolves around the love story of a vampire named Edward (Pattinson) and a transferee high school student (Stewart) as they battle challenges and obstacles thrown at them for their forbidden love. The franchise also included Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), and Anna Kendrick (Jessica Stanley).
The onscreen partners in the film took it in real life, but just as the installments ended in 2014, so did their romance. Since then, Pattinson had been seen with singer FKA Twigs, with whom he has been in a steady relationship until the past weeks.
Pattinson popped the question to the "Two Weeks" singer in 2015, and she reportedly accepted, but no wedding date was revealed. In October of this year, the two reportedly called it quits after problems with their busy schedules, though sources claimed that Pattinson and Twigs were pretty much still into each other. The singer was still keeping and wearing her engagement ring, which reportedly cost $150,000.
Meanwhile, Stewart had been seen last year with model Alicia Cargile, who was Cara Delevingne's ex-girlfriend. Currently, she is dating Stella Maxwell, a Victoria's Secret angel.
