There are rumors circulating about the possibility of Volition's third-person shooter video game "Red Faction: Guerrilla" coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. "Red Faction: Guerrilla" is one of the biggest video game releases of 2009.

Looks like the remastered version of the video game is set to be released first in Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark on a given date. According to reports, GameStop stores in these European countries have listed the title for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

An overview of the title describes the game as: "Set 50 years after the climatic events of the original Red Faction, Red Faction: Guerrilla allows players to take the role of an insurgent fighter with the newly re-established Red Faction movement as they battle for liberation from the oppressive Earth Defense Force."

The improved version of the video game will include all contents from the initial one including Open World Guerrilla Warfare, Strategic Destruction, Evolving & Emergent Gameplay, Epic Sci-Fi Setting, and Multiplayer Combat.

The article does not include any specific date for the release and if the remastered one is also coming to the PC just like the original one.

The information sparked mixed reactions from netizens, especially from gamers who have played the game before. There are some asking if the game will also be included for PC to give it a more flexible feel, while others assume that a remastered version is not necessary. There are of course nostalgic gamers who are happy to hear the news and can't wait for the video game to come to latest consoles.

"Red Faction: Guerrilla" received impressive ratings from video game critics. GameSpot gave the video game an 8.5 out of 10 score and a "Great" score equivalent of 8 from IGN. The destruction element present in the video game is commended by many.
