PlayStation teamed up with GameStop's merchandise outfit ThinkGeek to launch a new set of collectible memorabilia for gamers. The Totaku are small figurines of the most iconic video game characters of all time.

ThinkGeek designed and manufactured all seven 10 cm figurines for gamers. So far "Bloodborne's" The Hunter, Crash Bandicoot, PaRappa the Rapper, "God of War's" Kratos," "Tekken's" Heihachi, "LittleBigPlanet's" Sackboy, and "Wipeout's" Feisar FX350 ship are revealed. There are still no hints nor any updates if ThinkGeek will release other character figurines for example "Horizon's Zero Dawn's" Aloy or maybe "Uncharted 4's" Nathan Drake.

All seven collectibles are now available for pre-orders for only $9.99 per piece. All products will be released on Mar. 23. The collectibles are compared to Nintendo's Amiibo figurines, although Totaku are just well-designed figurines and nothing more. Amiibos, on the other hand, are equipped with NFC or near-field communication function.

Despite not having any extra features nor functions, the Totaku product line is a big hit among consumers especially for longtime gamers. There are people saying they want to buy all seven figurines and that their wallets are prepared for a big hit. The first set of characters, however, was not well received by others. An individual commented on Polygon's news about Totaku said, "I'm really curious who decided on this lineup, because it's not great for a first impression." The person then questioned Heihachi and The Hunter's involvement in the mix.

Then there are those suggesting a few ideas to the manufacturer. Two characters were mentioned not only once, "Last of Us's" Joel and Ellie.

Gamers and video game fans are still waiting and hoping for ThinkGeek to reveal other figurines based on different titles.

GameStop is not the only company that collaborated with Sony's PlayStation recently. Nike and PlayStation teamed up to bring the new PG-2 PlayStation Colorway inspired by the PlayStation console and Oklahoma Thunder's star player Paul George.
