Cheryl Walker, the mother of late actor Paul Walker, who died in a tragic car accident in November 2013, has filed for divorce after 30 years of marriage.

Cheryl Walker has reportedly been separated from Paul Walker III for almost 12 years before they decided to part ways, according to TMZ.

TMZ reports that the separation has nothing to do with their son's sudden death and that they had been going through a tumultuous marriage.

Paul Walker was in the middle of filming the 7th installment of the Fast and Furious movie at the time of his sudden death.

Walker, who played cop-turned-criminal Brian O'Connor, was tragically killed on November 30 when the car he was riding in careened off a road in Valencia, California. The Porsche Carrera GT hit a light pole and two trees while traveling approximately 100 mph before bursting into flames. The driver of the vehicle, Roger Rodas, also died.

Walker's brothers, Cody and Caleb, stepped in to help the producers finish the film because of their striking resemblance to Paul. Producers also used Cody and Caleb's voice for some of Paul's lines.

"Fast and Furious 7" will hit theaters on April 3, 2015. Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Luke Evans, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster and Ludacris will return. UFC's Ronda Rousey, ONG BAK's star Tony Jaa, Jason Statham and Walker's brothers Caleb and Cody Walker will join the cast too.
